Third Exam down, One left...

Anthropology in Context today, One man. One computer. One invigilater. Two Questions. Two hours. Compare and contrast the theoretical trend of Structuralism with that of Structural Marxism and Outline and discuss the differences and similarities - if any - between "the anthropology of women" and "feminist anthropology" The first one wasn't too bad, as you can just take the key points from each one, and then, well, compare and contrast. The seconf one was trickier, as the anthropology of women just means recognising male bias in the anthropologists doing the fieldwork, and feminist anthropology is recognising the male bias in the anthropologist, as well as the bias in the society under study, and therefore the anthropologists informants, and thirdly the inherent bias in the academic system. Not a fun question by any means, but I got to mention the Sapir-Worf hypothesis in both, and used the word 'heteronormative', which is is almost as fun to type as 'egogoogle'. X
